The Participation Council plays an important role in informal citizen participation in the state capital of Stuttgart.

Eight representatives of local residents, together with eight members of the municipal council and four employees of the city administration, discuss the updating of the guideline and advise on participation concepts for projects that are of great importance to the entire population or affect two or more city districts.
