Remarks in the residence permit
In each residence permit there are remarks concerning the work permit. Among others, the following remarks may be mentioned:
- Employment permitted: you may work for an employer and/or be self-employed.
- Employment permitted, self-employment not permitted:
You may be employed by an employer, but you may not become self-employed. - Gainful employment only permitted with permission from the immigration authorities:
Once you have found a job, apply for a work permit from the Aliens' Registration Office. Only when you have this, you are allowed to start working.
