Youth and family counseling centers

The youth and family advice centers at the City of Stuttgart are your first point of contact for questions about family and children. In addition to general social and benefits advice, they offer special advice for families and parenting. The counseling center also supports you with psychological counseling as well as on the topics of separation, divorce and parental custody.

There are also numerous  educational offers for parents in Stuttgart, from parenting seminars and sponsorship programs to educational guides.

Child care offer

The city of Stuttgart has a diverse and extensive range of childcare facilities for children of all ages. If you need daycare for your children, are looking for a place in a daycare center (Kita) or a childminder, please contact the  Kitaservice/Family Information team at the Youth Welfare Office. The team will advise you on which offer best suits you and your situation.

The city's Kitafinder will help you find a daycare center in the state capital.

Financial aids

The state supports families with children through various financial assistance or benefits. The aim of all state aid is to enable children to participate in social life and to support families, especially in the early years.
