The youth welfare office informs, advises, supports, educates and protects children, young people, single parents and families. It ensures the welfare of children and provides the necessary help in the event of parenting difficulties, delinquency of young people, social and economic hardship or in custody and maintenance matters. It also provides support in the search for suitable child daycare.

The youth welfare office is also responsible for more than 180 daycare centers and over 25 school facilities. With its wide range of services from education to leisure, it is aimed at all Stuttgart families.

Crisis and emergency service (KND)
Phone 0180 5110444 Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The  Youth and Family Advice Centers of the Youth Welfare Office (opens in a new tab) take over the KND. Monday to Friday from 4 p.m. to midnight, at weekends and on public holidays from 12 p.m. to midnight, the  eva crisis and emergency service (opens in a new tab) takes over.
