Within the Transport Planning and Urban Design department, the General Transport Planning unit deals with the development of city-wide and district-related mobility and transport concepts.
This includes the provision of planning bases in the form of traffic analyses, forecasts and traffic models as well as participation in regional traffic planning and the coordination of urban and regional traffic planning.
In addition, the bicycle traffic officer of the state capital Stuttgart is assigned to the department.
