The Gebrüder Schmid Zentrum in the Generationenhaus Heslach, as part of the "Social Engagement and Neighborhood" department in the Office for Social Affairs and Participation, promotes intergenerational togetherness in the Stuttgart-Süd district through a varied range of events and advice - in which the residents of the building's facilities are also involved. It currently cooperates with around 60 initiatives and associations that are committed to the idea of togetherness. The initiatives are involved in intergenerational projects, events and, in some cases, regular activities, and are provided with the premises and support in developing their activities. In addition to offices, a café and an outdoor garden, the premises also offer a large hall for events.
