The Child and Adolescent Health Division of the Department of Child, Adolescent and Dental Health, Social Services of the Public Health Department deals with fundamental issues of child and adolescent health, in particular child protection and inclusion, and promotes the health of children and adolescents. The tasks include Advice for parents, other caregivers, young people and professionals, medical examinations, assessments for the immigration authorities, social welfare office, youth welfare office, schools, aid offices, adaptation of the state guidelines regarding school enrolment examinations to the conditions of children and young people. Early support / family child health nurses (FKKS): The FKKS work preventively to promote the health development of children (from birth to school enrolment) whose families find themselves in a difficult situation that they cannot cope with on their own.
