An essential content of the Department of Child, Adolescent and Dental Health, Social Services of the Health Department is to promote and support all children and adolescents in their health development in the best possible way. Early support for children with disabilities, children at risk of disabilities or children with developmental problems, school enrollment examinations, early assistance by the family pediatric nurse, medical assessments of chronically ill or disabled children, obesity prevention and therapy, and dental health promotion are part of the broad range of services offered. Psychosocial counseling and support to improve the participation opportunities of people with chronic illnesses are also focal points of the department. The department includes the Interdisciplinary Early Intervention Center (IFF) and the following departments: -Children's and Adolescents' Health -Social Services for People with Chronic Illness or Disabilities -Dental Health (AG Zahngesundheit Stuttgart).
