The tasks of the dental health unit of the Department of Child, Adolescent and Dental Health, Social Services of the Health Department include dental checkups in daycare centers and schools, teaching the basics of age-appropriate oral hygiene and a tooth-friendly diet, advising parents, educators and teachers, and carrying out fluoride measures. One of the services offered by the department is a prevention consultation for parents of infants and young children. Another focus is on dental examinations and assessments for public authorities. The Stuttgart Dental Health Working Group is organizationally integrated into the dental health department.
